I know what it’s like to feel lost in a new language – because I’ve been there too!
In 2015, I arrived in the UK from Bulgaria with a suitcase full of hope and only school English. I remember the frustration of not being able to express myself, the anxiety of job interviews where I couldn’t find the right words, and the isolation that comes from struggling to communicate in everyday situations.
Those early years were challenging. Alongside my studies, I worked in restaurants, factories, and farms – taking any job I could find while quietly building my English skills. Each conversation was a lesson, every mistake a step forward. I learned that adult language learning isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress, confidence, and having someone who understands your journey.
That understanding led me to train as a TEFL-qualified English teacher. I moved from those early struggles to interpreting professionally with LanguageLine Solutions, working with emergency services, police, ambulance teams, banks, and utility companies. I’ve interpreted in life-changing moments – helping people communicate when it matters most.
Now, from my home in Devon, I dedicate my time to ensuring other adults don’t face the same challenges I did. I believe that learning English as an adult should be supportive, personalised, and built around your real-world needs – not textbook theory.
I’ve worked with police, ambulance services, banks, and utility companies, so I know the practical English skills adults actually need in the UK

Adult learners are my passion because you bring something children can’t: motivation, life experience, and a clear reason for learning. You’re not learning English to pass a school exam – you’re learning to build a career, support your family, integrate into your community, or simply live more confidently in the UK.
I believe every adult can master English when the teaching approach respects your time, your learning style, and your goals. That’s why my classes are:
